City Gross continues to strengthen its local range by collaborating with the Malmö-based company Folkets Pops. Folkets Pops, which makes handmade vegan ice creams from salvaged fruit, will now be available in
City Gross stores around Sweden. For every ice cream sold, 1 kroner also goes to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's project "Operation save the bees".
City Gross is the only grocery chain that offers the sorbet ice creams from Folkets Pops.
They will be sold in all stores in a limited edition from the beginning of July. The ice creams
found in the freezer come in the most popular flavors Chocolate Fudge, Strawberry,
Pink Elderflower and Toasted coconut.
Folkets Pops and the nice added value of the ice creams are an incredibly good match with City Gross in our long-term work to broaden our sustainable and local range, says Fredrik Mattisson, Sales Manager.

Owner Michelle Saunders asked for SEK 450,000 for 15 percent of the company in SVT's program Draknästet. Instead, entrepreneur Shervin Razani, Storytel founder Jonas Tellander, and star broker Fredrik Eklund joined forces and offered SEK 900,000 for 30 percent. An offer that Saunders, after a moment's deliberation, accepted.
