Our Story

Folkets Pops was founded in 2018 with a dream to bring gourmet fruit popsicles to Malmö in the most sustainable way possible. Our naturally vegan sorbet pops are made using fresh fruit, just enough Swedish beet sugar, and organic herbs and spices. We choose to help the planet by donating 1kr from every pop to help save the bees, because without the bees we wouldn't have fruit for our pops.

After testing more than 100 recipes at home we joined Restaurang Spill in their former production kitchen next to Folkets Park to start the 2019 season. We made our debut at Deja Vu Vintage Marknad at Mitt Möllan to kick off an exciting first summer. Our pops were a hit at local festivals including: Malmö Food Truck Festival, Mitt Möllans Vårmarknad, Malmö Gatmat, Limhamns Hamnfestival, Malmöfestivalen and NGBG Fest, not to mention catering all of the lovely company picnics and summer parties. We even sold flaming s'mores pops during the Christmas market! We moved our kitchen to Augustenborg with two other food bikes and together we formed Pedallers Kitchen Matcykelkollektiv. At the end of our first year Folkets Pops was awarded Årets Hållbarhetspris (Annual Sustainability Award) by Nyföretagarcentrum and Sysav.

Then came 2020... and we switched gears and kept rolling on the streets of Malmö, in the park and by the beach with the Popcykel, delivering joy to locals around Malmö. Together with other local producers and urban farmers we founded Nära & Kära, a hyperlocal farmers market outside our kitchen at Augustenborgstorget. We tripled our deliveries to local resellers, had creative Pop-ups with local businesses and even catered our first wedding! All thanks to the support of our fantastic community. 

Now that the festivals and events have returned you can find Folkets Pops at street food festivals, company caterings, brand promotions, birthday parties, weddings and so much more! Get your favorite pops delivered to your home locally by bike in Malmö or through Mylla.se in all of Skåne and Blekinge, Gothenburg and Stockholm.
